Hello and welcome to our blog!

This is where you will find recaps of all our public events, a renovation series going in depth about building Juniper, as well as business lessons and takeaways we are learning as small business owners.

Driving through southern Utah

A little back story for people who don’t know much about us:

We met at the end January 2024, the day before we, together with a group of nomadic friends, drove across the border into Baja, Mexico. Annabelle had been planning on going on this trip with friends for about a month, so the last minute edition of Kayley was an unexpected joy; we were both excited to have another girl around the same age coming on this trip.

We quickly became fast friends and most of the time you could find our vans parked side by side to make cooking breakfast easier. Throughout the trip around Baja, we did pretty much everything together and enjoyed every second of it. When the time came for Kayley to head back to the states, we both cried in the parking lot of a coffee shop; not knowing when we'd see each other again felt crazy. It felt like fate had brought us together on this trip and we couldn’t have imagined it any other way.

Fast forward to May 2024 and Kayley needed to drive home to New Hampshire from Central Oregon, so Annabelle decided at the last minute to go with her. She was in between jobs and had never been to the east coast so she figured why not! The two of us and Grizzly, the puppy Kayley had brought back from Baja, set out in her 4Runner on a 10 day road trip. The 4 Runner had a bed and compartments for clothes and stuff built into the back where the back seats used to be- the three of us slept in that the whole way across the US. We went to Arches national park in Utah, saw beautiful sunsets in Nebraska, walked around in Vail and downtown Denver, saw The Great Lakes in Indiana, drove into Chicago and went to the natural history museum, saw Niagara Falls at midnight, had a racoon try and steal our food at a campground, ate dinner in parking lots and parks, saw every sunset and sunrise from the front seats of the car. It was the most fun road trip ever, and also we were so exhausted by the time we got to our destination.

We laughed and cried and took a million pictures of Grizz napping- it was the best. Annabelle flew home a week later after spending time with Kayley's family and getting to see the beautiful sights of the east coast.

In January 2025 Kayley decided to move to Oregon, into a big community house that Annabelle and her husband rent and share with other friends. We had been talking about starting a business together because neither of us was happy working the jobs we had been previously. About two weeks after Kayley moved into the house in Oregon, we were on Facebook Market Place and found a listing for an old 1980’s horse trailer. It was the one- we knew. After contacting the gal and setting up a time to meet and look at it; we immediately started planning what we could turn it into. And the rest is history!

Stay tuned for our Build Series where we post the whole trailer building process month by month with pictures and a budget breakdown!

And, of course, thank you to our amazing team of friends and family for supporting us!!
