Camp Clay Seconds sale event recap
This past summer we went to an event at a ceramics studio called Camp Clay to support a friend of ours who was selling her handmade silver jewelry at a pop up market they were having that day. You can find her work here! We had previously reached out to the owner about possibly coming to one of these markets with the trailer- just pulling up and setting up shop and selling drinks to people while they shop. It would be mutually beneficial; the studio wouldn't need to provide drinks to the customers, so they would be saving that money and we’d be making it. We had a lovely chat with Jess the owner, and she was all for it- we started talking about the next markets she had coming up for the holidays and planning what it would look like for us to come and be a part of them.
Build Series 02: February
February brought snow and that made the work days short, cold, and wet. We wore wool socks and warm gloves under our construction gloves to keep warm, and spent most of the first two weeks finishing sanding all the faded red paint off the outside of the trailer. It was tedious and boring work- but we did it with excitement most days, talking about painting it- what color would it be? Dreaming of weddings, parties, hot days at the farmers markets, and cool nights under the glow of rodeo lights….. It was that excitement that kept us going through the cold days.
Bunk N Brew Halloween Party REcap
Juniper Moon celebrated our first Halloween at Bunk n Brew this year! This was our first time parking the trailer at the Hostel, and we didn’t know what to expect- but we were excited and looking forward to a busy evening. We decided to drop the trailer off a few days prior to the event just to make the day less hectic, because we had to back it into a 10 ft wide space, and the trailer is 7ft wide. But squeezing in was worth it because it meant we got to park in the main circle in the back, close to the music & next to the other food trucks they have onsite.
Build Series 01: January
It was a cold but sunny day in January when we were sent the address to go look at a horse trailer in Terrebonne, OR. It was a 1980’s Circle J double horse trailer we found on Facebook Market Place; it had rust holes in several places, was covered in splotchy red paint and had a decent amount of horse shit still crusted onto the walls.
Tumalo Lavender Farm Event Recap
Back in August we both set a goal to reach out to local businesses regularly to make connections & meet new people. Tumalo Lavender was a business that we had both heard fantastic things about and thought it would be a great place to connect with the community.
